Municipality of Ooststellingwerf takes a step towards greater biodiversity with a flower roof
What was once a grey gravel roof is now a rooftop flower meadow. Municipality of Ooststellingwerf chose a greener and more functional roof for the town hall: 150 m² of rooftop flower meadow.
Roofs
First, the gravel disappeared and the roofing was renewed. Then came a smart drip hose and a blooming rooftop flower meadow with native species. A beautiful result that the municipal team is thoroughly enjoying this summer: more biodiversity, more cooling, less maintenance. The ZinCo system with rooftop flower meadow was expertly installed by Groendakspecialist.
