Steadion realizes green roofs for residents in The Hague 

For the storage cluster on Van Bylandtstraat, they deliberately chose the roof flower meadow. A beautiful nature roof that contributes to biodiversity, cooling, and a green appearance for the neighborhood.

We were the supplier in this project: Dakbloemenweide supplied the lightweight vegetation mats with native plants to Staedion's implementation partners. Van der Drift Hoveniers, Staedion's regular green partner, took care of the installation and will also handle the maintenance.

In November 2025, the green roof was installed with our fully native vegetation mats. These roofs are instantly green, provide structure from day one, and quickly develop into a full-fledged roof flower meadow.
