Our collaboration with Tala has once again resulted in a beautiful project: 21 biobased social rental homes in Terborg, Achterhoek, all featuring a rooftop flower meadow.

We are proud of this collaboration with Tala, where our rooftop flower meadows contribute to nature-inclusive housing construction.
Tala designs and builds circular houses from wood and other biobased materials, with nature inclusivity playing a central role. Housing corporation Wonion wants to make sustainable building the norm and therefore chose Tala. This aligns seamlessly with the rooftop flower meadows we install. The planting consists entirely of native plants, which support the local flora and fauna and contribute to ecological restoration. Moreover, the system is regenerative: the plants improve soil structure and promote a natural cycle, resulting in minimal maintenance. In addition to the fact that the social rental homes in Terborg are 90% circular, the rooftop flower meadows on the homes are fully circular, thanks to the use of organic substrate.
By choosing a roof flower meadow, these homes not only gain a natural and aesthetic appearance, but also offer the following benefits:
Tala includes Dakbloemenweide as a standard in the quotation process as a preferred supplier. This ensures that sustainable roof solutions are immediately incorporated into the design. Thanks to this collaboration, we are jointly contributing to a future where sustainable construction and greening go hand in hand.
